Inspiration Illustration_CTE competition

Hillwood's academic theme for 2015-2016 is "Be Inspirational".

The theme became the first Photoshop assignment and CTE competition for students in Steve Campbell's Digital Arts and Design1 classes. For many students, 9th and 10th graders, this is the first time they have used Photoshop.

The assignment was for students to illustrate the meaning of the word "inspirational" using text and images only.

Hillwood Academy Showcase and Career Fair

On October 30, 2014, Hillwood's academies provided an Academy Showcase for students, parents and prospective parents and students. The Academy of Art, Design and Communications, to which Digital Arts & Design students belong, displayed work in several locations.

On November 30, the Academy of Art, Design and Communications hosted a career fair for 11th and 12th grade students enrolled in Digital Arts & Design, as well as visual arts. Several businesses, including academy business partners the Frist Museum and HST Interior Elements provided career information for these students.
